Bargain guide, week beginning June 8th

The main reason to keep on having summers in the first place, as far as I’m concerned, is the fresh fruit. SuperTarget and the ranch market on Main at 48th both have Rainier cherries I’ve seen – I can’t remember the price at Target, but at the ranch market they were $3.99/lb. I ate half a bag of them (Points-free!) on my way home last night.

Friday is National Herbs and Spices Day, so spice something up. Monday, the 13th, is my own official holiday: Kitchen Klutzes of America Day. (Suffice it to say that it is only in the past ten years I have been able to step into a kitchen without my friends preparing to alert Poison Control, the fire marshals, and the Environmental Protection Agency.)
