Promotions this week are long on beef and pork, the idea apparently being that even though Independence Day has passed, the WORLD WILL END if you do not grill something. Stone fruits are delicious and everywhere.

Tomorrow is National Strawberry Sundae Day – all hail Golden Spoon.
