Tomorrow is National Fruit Cocktail Day. This can refer to the canned concoction of peaches, pears, grapes and pineapple commonly called “fruit cocktail”; or if you so choose it can refer to cocktails with fruit in them.

Okay, I was wrong last week when I predicted that stone fruits would take a few weeks: the first peaches, apricots and Bing cherries are already in. I have not tried them so do not know how good they are.
