August 19th is Hot and Spicy Foods Day – I've found an excellent guide to which chile peppers are milder and which are hotter. (There’s a Bangladeshi pepper, the Dorset Naga, that’s sold with a health warning.) The 20th is Lemonade Day, which will be refreshing after the heat.
