Saturday, the 18th, is National Roast Suckling Pig Day, which I will readily skip over this year as every year. The 21st is National Kiwifruit Day – kiwifruit are free on PointsPlus. Sangria, sadly, is not, despite its fruit content, so if you celebrate National Sangria Day on the 20th you should track it.

PointsPlus got a wholly positive mention on the Fooducate blog. The FDA is cracking down on Dannon, the makers of Activia yogurt. In the future:
• Dannon may no longer claim that any yogurt or dairy drink will reduce your likelihood of catching a cold or flu.
• Dannon may claim that Activia will relieve irregularity or aid “slow intestinal transit time” … as long as the ad mentions that this requires three servings of Activia per day.
• Dannon may not make that claim for any other yogurt, dairy drink, or probiotic food product unless they can produce two well-designed studies to substantiate the claim.
